What does it take to create a place people do not simply visit, but return to again and again?

On August 25, Something in the Water welcomes Anthony Bonelli, founder and “Chief Pizza Officer” of Lincoln’s MoMo Pizzeria & Ristorante, for an intimate conversation with Tony Goins about entrepreneurship, hospitality, relationships, and building an experience people remember.

Anthony’s story in hospitality stretches back to 1978, when he began his career as a manager with McDonald’s Corporation. Decades later, he brought a very different vision to Lincoln with MoMo. When the restaurant opened in 2014, Anthony set out to create an elevated, slow-food dining experience built around quality ingredients, scratch preparation, understated luxury, and something even harder to manufacture: an atmosphere that makes people want to linger.

There is a reason MoMo’s philosophy is “Gather. Enjoy. Linger.”

That philosophy makes Anthony and Tony especially interesting together. Both understand that hospitality is ultimately about more than what is being served. It is about how people feel, who they meet, the conversations they have, and whether you have created something worth coming back to.

Expect real stories, hard-earned lessons, plenty of personality, and a candid look at what it takes to turn an idea into an enduring Lincoln brand.

This is not a keynote or a business seminar. Something in the Water is a conversation. Pull up a chair, order a drink, meet someone new, and spend an evening learning from two Lincoln entrepreneurs who understand the power of creating places where relationships happen.

Tuesday, August 25 at 6 PM.

Bring a friend, colleague, fellow entrepreneur, or someone who appreciates a great story. You will want to be in the room for this one.
